Based solely on making textures work a model's details. I didn't concentrate on making it high-poly, but the rough shape was already pretty high since there were lots of round shapes.
I could have unwrapped this better, but for 2 days work, I say it looks game ready... just needs a lot of poly crunching.
Currently, it stands at about 4000 polys, and with time, it can become a 1000 or less model... especially since there could be thousands of these recyclable freaks running around the Robotech world.
